Private sessions at Amfora are designed for groups who want to get their hands dirty and do something different.
Three hours of getting very messy together.
We take care of the clay, the wheels, the instruction, and the chaos. You just show up, commit to the bit, and leave knowing something you made with your own hands is on its way.
Sessions run for approximately three hours - time for a proper go at the clay, plus space for conversation, a stickybeak around the studio, and cleanup without anyone being rushed. We take groups of up to 16. For groups of 10 or more, we bring in a second teacher and split into two smaller groups so everyone gets proper attention throughout.
If three hours doesn't suit your schedule, shorter works too. Get in touch and we'll find something that fits.
Private events
Birthdays. End of year celebrations. Friend catch-ups that needed an excuse. Hen's parties. Anything that deserves a better story than dinner and drinks. Availability on request. We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. Get in touch below.
Corporate bookings
Team building that people actually want to do. There's something about standing at a wheel with your colleagues that levels the playing field in a way no conference room ever has. Someone will be surprisingly good at this. Someone else will not. Both outcomes are equally entertaining.
Private corporate sessions are great for end of quarter celebrations, client entertainment, or finally spending that budget before EOFY. Availability on request. We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. Get in touch below.
Make it yours
Before you book, we'll talk through what you'd like to get out of the session. Want to focus on the wheel? Hand build something specific? We can guide your group through making a particular piece - a travel mug, a charcuterie board, a candelabra, a vase. Or keep it open and see where the clay takes you.
The details
Duration: Generally 2 hours, but that's flexible, just ask.
Pricing: From $100 per person, depending on group size and duration.
Min group size: 4 people
Max group size: 16 people, maybe a few more at a pinch.
NB. Parties of 10 or more are split into two groups, each with a dedicated teacher, and will run for 3 hours.
Includes: Clay, all materials, and teaching throughout.
Firing: Pieces can be glazed and fired for an additional fee of $10 per piece.
Aprons: Provided, but maybe don't wear your best clothes!
