1. Participant Agreement
Participation and safety
You acknowledge that participating in ceramics classes and workshops involves physical activity and the use of tools, equipment, and materials including clay, glazes, and kiln-fired ceramics. You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by Amfora staff, and to notify your teacher of any relevant health conditions, injuries, or limitations before your session begins.
Damage to work in progress
Amfora takes reasonable care of work in progress, but cannot accept responsibility for pieces lost, damaged, or broken during the drying, trimming, or firing process. Kiln breakage is a normal part of working with clay and is not grounds for a refund or replacement.
Clothing and personal items
You acknowledge that clay and glazes may mark clothing and belongings. Amfora recommends wearing clothes you’re happy to get dirty, and accepts no responsibility for damage to personal items brought into the studio.
Photography and media
Amfora may occasionally photograph or film classes for use on our website and social media. If you’d prefer not to be included, please let us know before your session.
Health and conduct
You agree to treat other participants, teachers, and studio staff with respect. Amfora reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the session if their behaviour is disruptive or unsafe. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Term courses
A full credit note is available if you withdraw at least 7 days before the term begins. Once a term has started, no refund or credit will be issued. Missed sessions within a term cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
One-off workshops
Cancel 7 or more days before your session for a full refund. Cancel within 7 days and we’ll issue a credit note valid for 12 months, redeemable on any class or workshop. No refund for no-shows.
Private bookings
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date will forfeit the full amount.
If Amfora cancels or reschedules
If we need to cancel or significantly change a class, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another session — your choice.
Credits
Credit notes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and are redeemable against any Amfora class, workshop, or event.
3. Studio Membership Conditions
Monthly membership
To cancel your monthly membership, written notice must be received at least 30 days before your next billing date. Membership continues and studio access remains available throughout the notice period.
Quarterly and annual membership
Quarterly and annual memberships are paid upfront and are non-refundable. If you need to exit early due to exceptional circumstances, please get in touch. We’ll consider requests for a credit note on unused months at our discretion.
Pausing your membership
Members who have held an active membership for 6 or more months may request a single pause of up to 8 weeks per calendar year. Pause requests are subject to availability and granted at Amfora’s discretion. Membership billing resumes automatically at the end of the pause period.
